@darkknight Trying to give my brain some time to rest, mind helping me out with some Geometry? Maybe? Ehhhhh???

darkknight:

Yeah sure, Can you post?

Alright, so we just have to draw a composite shape, which includes 2 or more geometric shapes together. For example|dw:1606504419224:dw| Includes a rectangle and a square. For your problem we have to include one square one rectangle and a triangle so can you draw a composite shape with it. Be sure to draw in a coordinate plane

Razor:

Finna draw gimmie a sec.

darkknight:

ight got u

Razor:

This looks sloppy but here I go

darkknight:

Perfectly fine, now we have to find the perimeter of the shape so think you can do that?

Razor:

To find the perimeter of a rectangle I do P = 2b + 2h. To find the perimeter of a polygon like a square I use + = a + b + c + d ... right?

jhonyy9:

for example try find the perimeter of a missile |dw:1606505707316:dw|

darkknight:

Sorry I was gone, so to find the perimeter you want to add up all the side lengths

darkknight:

So for example you want to only find the perimeter, so that is the side lengths of the composite shape, so for example you have this shape |dw:1606506342840:dw| Then add a, f, x, y and z to get your perimeter

jhonyy9:

@darkknight Trying to give my brain some time to rest, mind helping me out with some Geometry? Maybe? Ehhhhh??? this was posted by you ? i ve thought was by @Razor

darkknight:

hmm? I'm helping him

jhonyy9:

find the length of t |dw:1606506577670:dw|

darkknight:

umm, Jhonyy9 how does this relate to his question?

jhonyy9:

i think by this Trying to give my brain some time to rest, mind helping me out with some Geometry?

jhonyy9:

or something in this way ...

Razor:

Awh, that's sweet. But that wasn't what I asked, sorry for the confusion, jhony.

Razor:

a = 5, f = 7, x = 12, y = 15, and z = 15. That's what I got. So 5 + 7 + 12 + 15 + 15

Razor:

perimeter = 54

darkknight:

hmm, check again, it seems like y = 10 not 15, and also z wouldn't be a whole number

Razor:

Confused on what z would =

darkknight:

alright, so its a triangle at this point |dw:1606507681575:dw| Using Pythagorean theorem, the side z is sqrt(5^2+5^2) = 5 times sqrt(2)

Razor:

25 :thonk: But you said it isn't a whole number

darkknight:

hold up

Razor:

I have a screaming headache so brain capacity is low right now. And my PC is hecka slow so it takes time for me to submmit answers/replies. I apologize, bud.

darkknight:

nah its all good, so basically we were finding the perimeter, you did they all right except for y, which should have been 10 not 15, and z isn't gonna be a whole number, do you know why that is, Pythagorean theorem?

Razor:

\[c = {a^2 + b^2}\]

Razor:

a^2 = 5 and b^2 = 5 so the answer is 7.07 :o

darkknight:

correct there, z is 7.07m, now find the perimeter by adding side lengths up

Razor:

41.07

darkknight:

yes, correct for the perimeter, now the area next

darkknight:

lol?

darkknight:

When you come back Razor tell me what you get/what you are stuck on

Razor:

Area of triangle = 12.5, triangle = 35, and square = 25. Adding all that up I got 72.5

Razor:

?

Razor:

?

darkknight:

sorry i wasn't paying attention

darkknight:

yep correct, and you meant the rectangle is 35 units squared not the triangle lol

darkknight:

Just show your work on that piece of paper and you are done. Good job Razor. :)

Razor:

Yeyeye Took me an hour and a half because of lag but we did it :o and noice you got 3 medals.
