In the 1800s, many people faced nativism, which was a distrust of Native American populations. an acceptance of people not born in the US. a resentment of people not born in the US. a distrust of people who lived in rural areas.
We can remove options A and B from the list.
I believe it's B. Via the Oxford Dictionary `from google`, it's states that nativism means "the policy of protecting the interests of native-born or established inhabitants against those of immigrants."
ok thanks everyone for helping
You're welcome C: If you need any extra help, you can @ me and Ill try my best to help
I think I disagree, I believe the answer is C, because Nativism is a reaction against immigrants.
ok and i need some more help
so is it c or b
Don'tsaymyname is correct. Nativism has to do with people being against immigrants.
ok c
This is what I used to get it
or to help me believe what was the correct one
See where it says native-born against immigrants?
i juss noticed that, i saw "established inhabitants" and i went to that one
Yeah it's speaking of like Americans who are "native to" or born in America. Being against like the Irish immigrants who came in the mid 1800's.
Ahhhh I get it now
It's poorly worded so it's understandable that someone would be confused.
I left for 3 mins, and it's been answered xD
