InsatiableSuffering:

So to find the distance between two points, you need to utilize the distance formula. It is as follows: \[d=\sqrt{(x _{2}-x _{1})^{2}+(y _{2}-y _{1})^{2}}\] Just plug in the corresponding points into this equation to find the distance. In order to find the midpoint, just take the average of the two points added together. The equation is as follows: \[M=(\frac{ (x _{1}+x _{2}) }{ 2 },\frac{ (y _{1}+y _{2}) }{ 2 })\] Again, just plug in the corresponding points into this equation. As for slope, there is also a formula to use here as well. To find the slope of a line, it is rise/run. Simply put, this is the general equation for the slope of a line: \[m = \frac{ (y _{2}-y _{1}) }{ (x _{2}-x _{1}) }\] You get the picture. Now with these equations, you should be able to identify these parts of the graph.
