\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Isry Not correct. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) how

Isry:

A republic is simply a government without a king. It has nothing to do with vetos.

MidnightNightmare:

Then what

Isry:

What is a veto?

MidnightNightmare:

Like when a law is passed on and the president cancels it then the branch can veto it against the president.

MidnightNightmare:

I don't know what the answer is I need help with it. PLEASE!!!!!!

Isry:

So a governor does the same thing. What is that called?

boredfr:

Checks and balances would be the most reasonable answer bc if only the president was able to veto bills then it would create a disruption in the balance.

MidnightNightmare:

No so a law is passed on and the president cancels the law then the government still wants the rule so it can veto the president by canceling his or her action

MidnightNightmare:

Are you sure Boredfr

boredfr:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @MidnightNightmare Are you sure Boredfr \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) It makes the most sense and I explained why so if you disagree with my reasoning then you should go with what you feel is correct but as far as I can tell I am correct.

MidnightNightmare:
