Yahaira:

x=2y−9 x+2y=7

CripQUEZZ:

Can u put a ss in comments plz

Yahaira:

how?

CripQUEZZ:

Jus copy and paste the ss in here

Yahaira:

x=2y−9 x+2y=7

Yahaira:

?

mxddi3:

we can use the substitution method to solve this. since it says `x=2y-9` we plug that into the second equation. This looks like: 2y-9+2y=7 then, we combine like terms (2y and 2y) and we get: 4y-9=7 solve this for y and then whatever you get for y, use in the first equation and you will get your x variable.

Yahaira:

y=4?

CripQUEZZ:

Ok so it’s 2y - 9 + 2y = 7 Ok so what you need to do is get the variable in this case the variable is (y) so add 9 to both sides to cancel out the -9 So -9 + 9 = 0 And 7 + 9 = 1 Then add 2y + 2y = 4y Then do the opposite of what 4y is doing and divide 4 from both sides 4/4 and 16/4 Which gets you 4 so Y = 4

Yahaira:

ok

Yahaira:

I got it!

CripQUEZZ:

Nice

Yahaira:

ok:)
