Which would be used to solve this equation? Check all that apply. p/3=12 subtracting 3 from both sides of the equation multiplying both sides of the equation by 3 dividing both sides of the equation by 3 substituting 4 for p to check the solution substituting 36 for p to check the solution

Angle:

The goal is to try to get "p" by itself on the left side of the equals sign

dontsaymyname:

We can remove option A and D and E from the list, now what do you think is the answer?

Angle:

if "3" is attached to the "p" with division what should we do to "undo" that?

Angle:

For example if it were attached with addition -> you would subtract to undo it if it were attached with subtraction -> you would add to undo it if it were attached with multiplication -> you would divide to undo it so what would you do if you wanted to undo that division by 3?

CripQUEZZ:

Ok so it’s pretty easy First multiply 3 on both sides P/3 x 3 = 12 x 3 So the p/3 cancels out and your left with P = 12 x 3 So multiply it 12 x 3 = 36 So P = 36 So it’s B

nini01:

thx
