zackariahharriett:

Mindy wants to solve the following system using the elimination method: y = x − 4 y = 2x − 3 What number should the equation y = x − 4 be multiplied by to eliminate x? (4 points) −1 −2 −4 −6

kevin132:

hi

zackariahharriett:

help plz

umbaba5:

if you want to eliminate x then you would just left with y. the other x is 2x assuming that you are going to add the 2 equations together then...what number do you think should be multiplied?

umbaba5:

remember, the other x in the other equation is 2x

zackariahharriett:

idk

zackariahharriett:

im bad at math

umbaba5:

-2 should work. because -2x + 2x would cancel out the x

zackariahharriett:

thank u
