mikewwe13:

@AZ

DumbFounded:

which one is detailed?

MxxnLight:

What can we cross out?

mikewwe13:

B and C i believe

MxxnLight:

I `think` we shouldn't eliminate c.

mikewwe13:

oh okay, my mistake

MxxnLight:

It's alright, We can eliminate A for sure tho.

AZ:

I never heard of the term explication so I looked it up

mikewwe13:

Me too which left me confused

mikewwe13:

i think it is D

AZ:

""To explicate" something is, in the most general sense of the term, to spell out its implications. Thus the noun "explication," in the corresponding sense, is, in the first instance, the process of spelling out the implications of something. And derived from this, in turn, is the sense of "explication" that refers to the product of this process: some account of what the implications of something are. Explication, in other words, is a kind of explanation" https://www.k-state.edu/english/baker/english287/cc-explication.htm#:~:text=Analysis&text=%22To%20explicate%22%20something%20is%2C,out%20the%20implications%20of%20something.&text=Explication%2C%20in%20other%20words%2C%20is,of%20explanation%20(note%201).

@mikewwe13 do you know what a summary is? Have you ever read a book summary or had to write one?

mikewwe13:

Yes, i have read it.

AZ:

Are summaries detailed? Do they elaborate on every single line of the book? Or would they be concise, and short and sweet and give you the main idea in as few words as possible?

mikewwe13:

Yes but in the reader's own words of perspective

AZ:

so do you think it's our answer or is it something we should eliminate?

mikewwe13:

eliminate

AZ:

Now we really have to choose between A and B. Did you read that little blurb I posted earlier?

mikewwe13:

Not really.

mikewwe13:

The answer is B

AZ:

Is that what you're settling on? Or like you've submitted it and you got feedback already?

mikewwe13:

no it's what i'm settling for

mikewwe13:

elucidate meant analysis or explaining

AZ:

So like if you read that little blurb of text I sent, I think you might find your answer @mikewwe13 Elucidate means more to explain than to analyze. Analysis involves more of interpreting and trying to understand how concepts all work together.

mikewwe13:

oh i see what you're talking about, you're right
