reciprocal of sin ? have you heard about csc ? The cosecant is the reciprocal of the sine. It is the ratio of the hypotenuse to the side opposite a given angle in a right triangle.

Yes jhonyy, we started this topic today and the teacher did review cos, sin, tan, csc, sec, and cot.

The way I remember it is like this SIN starts with an S COS starts with a C 1/sin = CSC it starts with a C 1/ cos = SEC it starts with an C So it's almost like it's flipped, you see? Sin and Csc Cos and Sec it's basically a group of C and S Does that help?
