14xavierrobinson:

If you were to graph the line segment G(−4, 3) to T(0, 5), where would the new coordinates for G' and T' be if the image was translated 1 unit right and 3 units down?

MidNiGhtSkY:

(w,y) x is horizontal so you move it either right or left but it says right so add one number to x and y is vertical so it's up and down so it says move it 3 units down so you minus 3 from y. does this make sense or help?

MidNiGhtSkY:

(x,y)

14xavierrobinson:

it helps, but I still don't get it so is it 3 units down or three units minus?

MidNiGhtSkY:

it means that y-3 so g(-4,3) so you take the 3 and minus 3 which is 3-3

14xavierrobinson:

Oh! Thanks! <3

MidNiGhtSkY:

it's going down the graph. and your welcome :)
