What do you think best answers your question
What you can do here is see which sentences does not have the formal tone 5 sentences but since sentence 5 aint an answer choice no need to read it or give much thought. Lets look at answer choice 1, replacing sentence 1. The way it is written now "Hiring Jane for a position in your restaurant is an awesome decision for you". Read the rest of the paragraph, which sentences do u see having a formal tone and which do u not. As a hint for a formal tone, some characteristics you can look at: are they using words that dont sound very yippy -hippy like "OMG HIRE JANE SHE SO PRO AT FORTNITE" its kinda easy once you get practice to tell which sentences are speaking in a formal tone and which are not. Another big hint are sentences that speak in a calm tone, straight-forward and too the point, and another hint is the type of words they use. The first sentence uses the word "awesome" do u think that matches with the formal tone (if it exists) in the rest of the paragraph? Read through and see which sentence doesnt have that formal tone, and which answer choice can defo replace the original to maintain this formal tone
now lets look at individual answer choices. answer choice D: replaces "Jane is an ideal candidate for this position" with "she'll be totally great" tbh these are not formal vibes and well idk how to really explain this but being totally great doesnt sound formal/serious, so eliminate answer choice B: this really just reformats the same sentence in a different order. If you look at the tone of the sentence, its already formal, so there is no need to replace this sentence because it does not BEST REVISE THE PARAGRAPH to maintain a formal tone out of the 2 left what do u think? which best revises the paragraph to maintain a formal tone?
