I ain't read nothing about that but from what I'v searched : "In "The Damnation of a Canyon," Edward Abbey explains why the Glen Canyon in Arizona should be restored to its original state, before the dam was built. ... First, he explains that the animals, scenery, and history of the canyon were lost when the dam was added and a reservoir filled the canyon." Source: Abbey_Sample_Crit_Rdng_Handout-1 and "Although Edward Abbey uses strong personal experiences to persuade the reader to argue that the man made reservoirs are destroying the beautiful canyon and the environment. Source: https://www.123helpme.com/essay/The-Damnation-Of-A-Canyon-by-Edward-162475#:~:text=Although%20Edward%20Abbey%20uses%20strong,the%20benefits%20of%20having%20them. So basically when the dam was originally added it ruined Glen Canyon altogether,so he is saying it negatively impacted the place. I'm basically thinking that the answer has to show a negative outlook on the after-effects of the building of the dam. So we would most likely cross off answer options A and B since they just talk about how the dam helped the environment etc. This leaves answer options C and D I'm going to say the answer is prolly D bc it does not mention much about boats badly affecting the place and both things of information talks about the "man-made reservoirs"-basically man-made dams, that cause the environment-(habitat for animals) to die out (plants n' stuff), and not be as natural as it was I guess. (On an honest level I'm really confused, srry if this answer ain't correct tho)
