Honda:

Do you know how to find the volume of a pyrimid?

kekeman:

Yes

Honda:

Then you want to find the volume of pyramid A

kekeman:

The answer that i got was 12.5% And i wanted to see if i was correct or not

kekeman:

1/3 × 14² × 6

kekeman:

1/3 × 196 × 6

kekeman:

196 × 2

kekeman:

392in³

kekeman:

Am i correct?

I belive so yes

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) kekeman The answer that i got was 12.5% And i wanted to see if i was correct or not \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) well this means pyramid a is 12.5% of pyramid b, but we want the answer to express how many times bigger pyramid b is than pyramid a, so you would do 3136/392 and then convert the value you get to a percentage. Yes your explanation is fine though

kekeman:

So 3136in³/392in³?

darkknight:

which simplify's to 8, expressed in a percentage 8 times is equal to.....???

kekeman:

8:1

kekeman:

392/3136 × 100?

darkknight:

yea

kekeman:

Which you get 12.5%

kekeman:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @kekeman Which you get 12.5% \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Right?

darkknight:

no what, you do \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) kekeman So 3136in³/392in³? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) then multiply that by 100 for the percentage, why did you do \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) kekeman 392/3136 × 100? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) ???

kekeman:

I got 800

darkknight:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @kekeman I got 800 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) percent, correct. Have a good one

kekeman:

Thanks
