So these are formulas you should memorize Volume of cone = \(\dfrac{1}{3} \pi r^2h\) or another way to write that would be volume of cone = 1/3 * area of base * height and they gave you the area of the base and the height so can you find the volume? (don't forget about the 1/3 since it's a cone)
ohhhh
pi*r^2 is the area of a circle and what is the base of a cone? it's a circle (just for clarification if you're wondering how 1/3 * area of base * height is the same as that formula)
235.6?
but thats not in pi form
Try again and also remember we want to keep the answer in terms of \(\pi\) so that means you don't multiply the \(\pi\) you just leave it sitting there volume of cone = 1/3 * area of base * height area of base = 4*pi height = 6 volume = ??
so would th equation be 1/3*4*6?
exactly! and there's a pi there but you don't multiply by it since we want it in terms of pi
so then 15?
nope nope what is 1/3 * 6 * 4 = ? 1/3 * 6 is the same as 6/3 = ?? and then multiply by 4
no it's 9 and 5
1/3*5*9
maybe you're looking at a different question? #4
ohhhh
lol i am
then it's 8
yup and I'm not sure if you can write down \(\pi\) in that blank as well or if it's just assumed but good job
thx
you're welcome
