Ideas? I'm confused. In The Diary of Anne Frank, which conflict supports the theme that bravery often comes at great personal cost? Miep’s insistence that she does not want a piece of the cake she has brought Anne’s admission to Peter that she does not believe that her mother understands her Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan’s argument about whether to sell the fur coat Mr. Kraler’s struggle regarding what to do about the employee who is blackmailing him
Ideas, @kittybasil ?
Well, first I'd really ask you what you think. Then we can go from there. Tip though: "great personal cost" is unlikely to be something as small as food or material items like a coat.
Hmm. Maybe. Why do you think it's B though and not D?
Also you don't need to tag/quote me... I'm right here.
well, I have seen others do it but never really understood how they did that but now I do.
I'm a Copycat! (get it?)
Yeah, people get alerts every time someone tags them. AND they get alerts every time someone replies to a post that they replied to (or their own post)... so it's like double or triple pings in these scenarios Anyway... B and D both qualify because they are actually a pretty big cost to the person who is in the situation. However, remember that the question says "bravery most often comes at great personal cost" and only one of these choices fits that description. Based on that - which do you think is more accurate? (Yeah, but we can banter later.)
D I suppose because Mr. Kraler is attempting to do something about the employee blackmailing him.
Right?
Yeah. That's the greatest personal cost because if he speaks up, he could possibly lose his job or get in more danger than he already is.
aka: Yes, you're right lol
