Graph the “Number of Nuclei in the Sample” versus the “Half-life Number.” If the sample has 1/8 of the radioactive nuclei left, how many half-lives would the sample have gone through?

this might be missing something is there an image we can see

Mercury:

At time = 0, there are 100% of the nuclei left (or as a decimal, 1). After each half life, 1/2 of the previous nuclei are lost. Should be straightforward to determine how many half-lives give you 1/8 of the nuclei remaining. For the graph, simply start with 100% of the nuclei at half-life = 0, and cut the amount in half for each half life.
