Florisalreadytaken:

remember -- EVERY number in the power of 0, is equal to one.

Florisalreadytaken:

also, pay attention to the last two ones -- its in the power of three and four, not multiplied by 3 and four.

TurtlePrincess:

k hanks guys!!

SmokeyBrown:

It's like Florisalreadytaken said; this problem asks for 2^x, 2 to the power of other numbers; your answers would be correct for 2*x, 2 multiplied by other numbers. Same reasoning for 2^-1; that's the same as 1/(2^1) or 1/2. Just as another example, 2^-2 would be the same as 1/(2^2) To review, when we take a number to the power of x, that means we multiply the number by itself x times. So, 2^2 is 2*2; 2^3 is 2*2*2, and so on
