MrMudd183:

what do you think is the first thing to do is?

klmjnmkj:

im not sure

MrMudd183:

the first thing i would do is substitute the values given within the parentheses in the appropiate place of the factor/equation

MrMudd183:

for example, there is a 2 representing the factor of X within the parentheses, what do you think we need to substitute that into and where at?

klmjnmkj:

im not sure

MrMudd183:

You would place it after the 3 of the first equation for the value of Y *which = -7*, that would go after the -4 in the first equation and finally for the value of Z *which = -8* would go after the (+)4 in the first equation

MrMudd183:

For the other two equations, you would do the same steps Substitute the value of 2 for X, -7 for Y, and -8 for Z in the other equations

klmjnmkj:

2 is the first one

klmjnmkj:

the anser is yes?

MrMudd183:

I would work them out all to be sure. because I just did the first equation and it does equal 2

MrMudd183:

I just did the second equation and it doesn't equal up to 18, as it give me 22

klmjnmkj:

i thought ere supposed to get it eual to 2, -7, and -8

MrMudd183:

Oh no, we were supposed to get the product that's behind the equal sign on the right

klmjnmkj:

so the ansers no

MrMudd183:

Correct, good job

klmjnmkj:

the ansers no ;/

MrMudd183:

I said that you are correct about it being "no", are you still a bit confused?
