@AZ

AZ:

Multiply each value in the first matrix by -9 and each number in the second matrix by -1

AZ:

and then just add the numbers that are in the same place |dw:1621034897552:dw|

AZ:

I just used a 2 by 2 matrix for simplicity but the concept is the same for the 3 x 3 matrix since both are 3x3

klmjnmkj:

18, 18, 0, 18, -27, 18, 36, -27, 36

klmjnmkj:

18, -27, -27, 0, 36, 0, 45, -18, -45

klmjnmkj:

whats next

AZ:

I'm confused with how you wrote the numbers

AZ:

-2 -2 0 -2 3 -2 -4 3 -4 that's the first matrix multiply each number by -9

AZ:

You can even write it out using the equation tool so if you want to quote this message and then replace the numbers with the numbers you get \[-9\left[\begin{matrix}-2 & -2 & 0\\ -2 & 3& -2\\ -4 & 3& -4 \end{matrix}\right] = ~?\]

AZ:

and then for the second matrix, you multiply all the numbers by -1 Because it's (-1) * B

klmjnmkj:

thanks I solved it

AZ:

You're welcome :)
