Which is a chemical property of hydrogen? It is a combustible gas. It is a light gas. It is a good conductor of electricity. It is a colorless gas. It has a boiling point of -252.87 °C Need help please, just answer If u can

TutoriaIs:

Can you pick more than one choice?

Honess:

no just one choice,

TutoriaIs:

Okay, so do you know what a combustible gas is?

Honess:

nah not really, i dont know the answer which is why im asking lol

TutoriaIs:

Well, a combustible is anything that has oxygen in it. Does Hydrogen have oxygen in it?

Honess:

No it does not

TutoriaIs:

Good work. Now, is Hydrogen a light gas?

Honess:

uh no?

TutoriaIs:

Well, maybe. Let's keep an arrow in that one. Now, is hydrogen ALWAYS under pressure.

TutoriaIs:

?* instead of a period.

Honess:

uh no. i dont think so

TutoriaIs:

Good work!

TutoriaIs:

Is Hydrogen a colorless gas?

Honess:

yes?

TutoriaIs:

Good, last one. Does it boil at 2,thousan- whatever it says

TutoriaIs:

Or does it ignite as soon as it hits oxygen?

Honess:

no not at negative.

TutoriaIs:

Nice.

TutoriaIs:

It is a light gas. (Lighter than air) It is a colorless gas. (Different types of hydrogen, and the other ones have color, so it makes this one incorrect.)

TutoriaIs:

Green is correct. Red is wrong.

Honess:

Thank you

TutoriaIs:

You're welcome!

Politely disagree with the previous response. It is asking for a *chemical* property of hydrogen gas. Being a light gas (low density, low MW) is a physical property. To observe a chemical property, the substance must undergo a chemical change/chemical reaction. Combustion (burning) is the only chemical change in the list. Combustible doesn’t mean “contains oxygen” it means “able to be burned”.
