so i just did a math problom with this 2*(x-4)=2 2X-8=2 2X=2+8 2X=10 X=10/2 X=5 how do i get one of these resolts s=(3;5) s=(2;6) s=(1;3)
Ok so do you know how to get y by its self?
hmm no not really its ben sum time sence ive done this
Can you screenshot the whole question? Maybe you're interpreting the question wrong, so you aren't getting any of the choices
You solved for x correct?
it whas in spanish so this a rogh translation The solution set of the following equation with modulus is:
Just with the word modulus, we're obviously missing some kind of information
Also welcome to question cove AlexisR if you have any questions feel free to ask.
the bottom one im confused on 2
On question two?
If you are talking about on the link that you gave us there is no question 2.
no i did n2 3) 4) im having a hard time
@snowflake0531 can you help me?
You made one mistake, the | is absolute value, not parenthesis Do you know what absolute value is?
no?? can u elaborate?
Uh, absolute value is easier explained in examples |2| = 2 |-3| = 3 |-83|=83 |47| = 47 yeah? so it just makes it positive... kinda
So for \(2 \times |x-4|=2\) I suggest first isolating the |x-4| so then it becomes \(|x-4|=1\)
man this is new stuff for me thay never teachd me this back in school
So then from there split in into two equations \(x-4=1\) and \(x-4 = -1\)
from there, you can get your 2 x values
