Alexis1415:

How does Chlorophyta move?

Rylee88:

What do you think?

Alexis1415:

I thought it might be the Flagella's but that's just a thought, I'm not sure if I'm right.

Rylee88:

Well I got this from the internet The green alga is a microscopic breaststroke swimmer. The movements of its two flagella are synchronised by mechanical forces: its swimming strokes slow down or accelerate, depending on how the cell rocks while swimming.

Rylee88:

Hope it helps

Alexis1415:

Yes, but that just talks about the flagella, in my question I need to explain how it moves and I'm not sure if a Chlorophyta has a flagella

Rylee88:

@Chlorophyta have a myriad of forms - single-celled, colonies, and in multicellular filaments. The single-celled form of chlorophytes may be motile or non-motile.

Rylee88:

They move slowley and IN the liquid media and are also capable of orientation toward light
