A scientific theory states that Earth revolves around the sun. Which of these statements is correct about this theory?

SmokeyBrown:

I think the question is talking about the "heliocentric" theory, which was once promoted by the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. Do you have the answer choices available so we can see which one(s) are correct?

Vocaloid:

A) It is a well supported description. B) It is a well supported explanation. C) It is a fact in nature which is not supported by data. D) It is a fact which is observable to all and remains undisputed.

Out of these answer choices, I think "B" and "D" would be the best options. I would choose B instead of A because a "scientific theory" usually refers to an "explanation" of natural phenomena, while a "scientific law" relates more to describing natural phenomena, not necessarily with explaining them. Also, I would choose D over C because, even though it may not be *easily* observable that the Earth revolves around the sun, it is an undisputed fact that virtually anyone can verify with images, special tools, and/or astronomical calculations.
