I'm not sure if a ray is the thing we want to use for this one. Remember that a ray continues indefinitely in one direction, but a line segment does not continue forever in either direction--line segments have a fixed length in both directions. So, while you *could* get a line segment by drawing a ray and then shortening it, this would not be the best method. It would be akin to Spongebob's method of drawing a circle by first drawing a face and then erasing all the details--kind of nonsensical =D
