lolokrat:

Solve S = P + Prt for t.

lolokrat:

i got t=s-p/pr but it says its incorrect

lolokrat:

s=p+prt minus p both sides s-p=prt divide both sides by pr s-p/pr = t t=s-p/pr

lolokrat:

@vocaloid

Vocaloid:

parentheses are important. when you divide both sides by Pr, you're dividing the whole expression (S-P) / Pr

lolokrat:

where do i need to add parentheses ?

Vocaloid:

Variable case matters, too. Lowercase/capitals need to be the same

Vocaloid:

S = P + Prt S - P = Prt \[\frac{ S-P }{ Pr }=t\] if it doesn't let you enter fractions, parentheses have to be around S - P

lolokrat:

ah it was the variable case that got it wrong

lolokrat:

answer was t=S-P/Pr didnt even think about that!

lolokrat:

thank you voc
