NeverAlone:

What would happen if a lion mated with a panther? They're both of the same species pretty much, so would their offspring be in danger?

NoodlesAndRiceYT:

hm, i dont know what would happen, their offspring would look different for sure tho

NeverAlone:

You agree that it would cause genetic mutation right? But what would happen to the offspring?

UhhhKhakis:

I mean, they would pretty much make another big cat.

UhhhKhakis:

Lions and Tigers did it.

NeverAlone:

So it would create an entirely new species?

I'm serious, I really might, and you are welcome :)

Vocaloid:

Research Panthera hybrids. Lions, Jaguars, leopards (panthers are a subtype of leopards), and tigers *can* produce offspring (in very limited capacities). Offspring are typically not viable (either the offspring die or they are not fertile) https://www.bionity.com/en/encyclopedia/Panthera_hybrid.html
