JamesTDG:

Idea to make the Math subject more reliable for anti-cheating: require users to edit any numbered variables in a question EX: Original question: What is the equation of the line that passes through (0, 3) and (7, 0)? Modified anticheat question: What is the equation of the line that passes through (0, 2) and (8, 0)? Pros: - People won't be able to cheat with this as easily - This will encourage far fewer direct answers Cons: - Difficult to enforce - Impossible to tell if its just the original - Edits that are far too different can make the work shown not be able to be put to use to fix

JamesTDG:

@ultrilliam How well do you think this would work as a rule?

NemoEmo:

I only see a number changed

JamesTDG:

@NemoEmo Ah, but the simple changing of a number can drastically change the results of an equation.

wait so what if they add a number to what the question was originally formatted?

Technically yes? (My Autism makes it hard for me to explain stuff sometimes, and getting an interpreter is expensive)

Korean22:

ok

Vocaloid:

I think it's an interesting idea, however it would be hard to enforce.

Yeah...

MadamMystery:

It is a nice idea but I don't think it is that easy to apply it .
