Did you solve each operation?

surjithayer:

put the value in each eq. and see where it satisfies the eq. B

To solve this, you can either use guess-and-check or figure it out mathematically. I find it easier to just work it out. You can find the slope of your line by plugging in the x and y values you are given into the slope equation: \[(y _{2}-y _{1})/(x_{2}-x_{1})\] The value you should have just gotten would then be your m value, which you can plug into point-slope formula, along with one of your points: \[y-y_{1}=m(x-x_1)\] You can plug in either point for your x1 and y1 values, but try both since the correct answer could use either one since it is still in point-slope form. Hope this helps you solve it :)
