iosangel:

Beginning with solar energy, detail how transfer of energy drives weather and climate. Be sure to mention how energy transfer affects wind, rain, temperature, and climate.

SmokeyBrown:

I'll preface this by saying that my understanding of the subject isn't very detailed. Starting with solar energy, the sun transfers light and heat to earth, which contributes to differences in temperature depending on how much exposure certain parts of the world get to sunlight. Differences in temperature are connected to differences in air pressure, which can cause wind if the air pressure difference is large enough. Temperature differences are also a big factor in different climates. I suppose energy from the sun can also evaporate liquid water as part of the water cycle, leading to rain. There's certainly a lot that I'm missing here, but that rough understanding of how things work should be enough to get started, I think

iosangel:

Yes ive got that bit, but mainly i don't understand how it affects wind

iosangel:

Oh nvm i got it, thank you very much

SmokeyBrown:

Ok, awesome! Glad you got it :)
