I need help. What is the meaning of the lyrics for the song Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace and Monster by Skillet? How do they relate to Lord of the Flies?

yngday1k:
They basically don't relate because one's about anger bottling it up until you explode at which point you are unable to control it and the others about being fake and putting on a fake face

You could relate the book to Monster with "Lord of the Flies refers to Beelzebub, another name for the devil." somehow. It talks about the boys being scolded by the naval officers and breaking into tears which you could tie into 'Animal I Have Become.' They're struggling with what they have went through. Just look into the meanings more on Google and there's a lot whenever you look a little deeper.

Do you think that Animal I Have Become could also talk about how the boys turn towards savagery, mainly Jack?

Yes, when looking for the song meaning it did say "Either a good person is trapped inside or a beast is trying to claw out from within."

"It is ironic that the naval officer while appearing to represent civilization and rational society actually represents the evil present in civilization just like the boys themselves"
