In my opinion, heck no. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, especially in the case of the government. If people were to sacrifice their individual freedoms, the government would abuse that power, could get rid of things such as freedom of speech, could force people to allow soldiers in their homes for free housing and food, force one to take vaccinations (which imo, something is very suspicious if the government has to heavily force/advocate for taking vaccines), and the list could go on and on. Basically, it'd lead to despotic and tyrannical rule--as pretty much every sci-fi dystopia has thoroughly illustrated.
