DylanTheBisexual:

I did badly on my first math test and my parents want to know what my score was. I am bad at lying and I need help so I can say that I did great on my test. Can anyone help me?

AriesR0se:

Are you afraid of disappointing them? All they can ask of you is that you did your best. And while it's not fun, honesty is always the best road to take.

Elysian:

Its better to tell them then lie about it

DylanTheBisexual:

They are super strict. I will be grounded and I won't be able to get out of my room for a year. I am finally allowed out of my room, I don't want to go back.

AriesR0se:

For a Year?! That's a bit harsh. I'm not sure what to do...I don't want to tell you to lie about this, but is there a way for you to improve your score in the class? Or... if u don't know ur score on it yet?

Elysian:

Can you retake the test?

DylanTheBisexual:

I know my score. Normally, it would be considered a decent score. But my family thinks anything below A is a fail.

DylanTheBisexual:

I can't retake.

Elysian:

Its sad that they want you to be a straight A student atleast you tried

DEMO4L1ZE:

Jus take the beating

DylanTheBisexual:

I'm the only one in my family that isn't a straight A student.

I understand this part here. Is there a way you can take extra credit? Maybe ask your teacher? Or tell them the impact it had on your grade overall? It's best to be honest with your parents, even though it's kinda scary, etc. Just try and break it to them easily. I know being in your room will suck but if you've done this before there really isn't anything different to do. Maybe practice what you got wrong while you're stuck there. Anyways, even though you had a bad score, you did well because you tried. Most kids in this generation don't care about their grades and think they're going to become a huge influencers. You on the other hand are working towards your parents' high standards.

Astrid1:

Even though your parents aren't too proud of it, as long as you're proud of yourself for how well you did, even if it's worse than your last test score, you still did well.

Elysian:

, I’d encourage you to tell your parents the truth. Our lies usually catch up with us, and I think the results will be worse if they find out you not only failed, but lied about it.

DylanTheBisexual:

I guess that's true.

PsychoGirl17:

could u guys plz go on my question

DylanTheBisexual:

Maybe I can ease the punishment by telling them about the fact that I am the only one in the class who got a B. Everyone else got a D or an F.

AriesR0se:

Well done, on that part! And just be honest. Hopefully they will acknowledge your hard work.

Elysian:

I’ve found that at times my parents surprise me and react much differently to things than I think they will. So, it might not be as bad as you think. Particularly if you approach talking to them about this by telling them you really want to work on improving in whatever course you failed.

DylanTheBisexual:

Yeah, you guys are right.

DylanTheBisexual:

Thanks for the help.

AriesR0se:

yeah, of course. Good luck.

Astrid1:

Good luck, hope your parents are okay with it! <333

DEMO4L1ZE:

if i was u i would have at least take the beatin

Elysian:

good luck and remember they only punish you because they love you
