Which of the following statements about formal regions is true? Improved communication and technology have limited the influence of formal regions. The boundaries of formal regions are determined by people's perceptions of the region's culture. Formal regions can be used to describe a place where a specific religion is dominant. Formal regions are usually centered on a specific location called a node. The people living in the same formal region share all the same characteristics.

Regions defined formally, often by government or other structures, are called formal regions. Cities, towns, states, and countries are all formal regions, as are things like mountain ranges. So mommy it may be C and D

Axolotl:

This is from my text book: Formal regions are areas where all or most people share one or more characteristic(s). For example, everyone living within the formal region known as Brazil is subject to the same federal government and laws. Formal regions can be used to describe an area where there is a single predominant economic activity, such as mining or ranching; where a particular political party, language, or religion is dominant; or where there is a particular income level. Defining a region is a way to generalize common characteristics. However, remember that such generalizations do not always apply to all of the people within a region. For example, in a region where most people practice Christianity, smaller groups or individuals may practice Islam or Judaism. In a region where the predominant economic activity is raising wheat, some farmers may rely on raising corn or other crops. A region that votes for one political party over and over may be home to people who vote the other way.
