Guys, I'm in a bit of a predicament. And many won't understand this question if you don't own a car. But, let's just say, hypothetically, you bought a used car a month ago, and you find each day it takes longer to start, and then while your driving today, the car shuts off while your driving 30 mph and end up hitting the guard rail. Is it the dealerships fault?

Frosted:

And are they responsible for the damages? There is no warranty on the car.

talayshabakr21:

hey

mtzmario8612:

idk man- i'm not a car fanatic-

Bellad471:

In my opinion it probably has something to do with the people who owned the car before they might have done something that messed it up and couldn't get it fixed

mtzmario8612:

makes sense

Bellad471:

yea

Frosted:

So, who's responsible for the damages?

Bellad471:

It's more the dealership fault bc they should have checked the car out before they sold it to you

mtzmario8612:

I would say maybe the dealership. It would not be your fault either way

Frosted:

Well, this is what gets into law-yy stuff, because I called the dealership, and they had said there was no reports on that happening before, so it isn't there fault. Now they want me to pay thousands of dollars worth of damage, for something that I didn't have control over.

Bellad471:

That's so dumb it clearly is their fault

Frosted:

So, should a lawyer be brought in?

Bellad471:

If i was you i would bring a lawyer in but it's your decision

Frosted:

Alright, I might go that route, let me get some more opinions, I'll post what happens later.

Bellad471:

ok

mrwhskers:

It's probably there fault for not disclosing something it's wrong with it or if it was owned before you it's probably that last owners fault

Frosted:

Alright that's a good point, I really intrigued on what Dark is going to say.

It is most definitely the owner before who is at fault, instead of taking the responsibility of repairing damages to the car and taking care of it, as they should, the owner before sold the car.
