mayathegamergrl:

Im learning guitar now and its been about a week of practicing , and im wanting to soon do some slow songs on it, does anyone know whats the best timing to learn songs?

BobaBxddieBangg:

if you heard the song multiple times like some popular songs this year it's easier most likely 1 month and 2 weeks but if it's a song you never heard before then it'sgonna take 3 months

mayathegamergrl:

so even if its like a week of knowing guitar, its still possible to learn a popular song in less than a month?

i think its possible, if you focus on that specific song you'll be able to do it, but its more important to learn the different aspects of using the guitar rather than trying to just learn one song. its like if ur learning a language and you only know one sentence

mayathegamergrl:

ohhh ye that makes sense, thank u

limenm79:

use one of ur fav songs and see if thers a slowed down version of it

Neon:

if u want i can try helping u i play guitar

Naw:

just learn it, there isnt a best timing either you do it or you dont

Naw:

unless you're asking about song time signature for slow songs

MaxTon:

learning songs on your own is diffrent from learning how to play a guitar, you only need notes for that song to play it

Neon:

exactly

I have been playing guitar since I was about 13 years old. I'm now much older so I can give you a few tips. The first thing you want to do when learning how to play guitar is finger pressure. too little or too much can both be issues. If you apply too little pressure then the chords will sound fuzzy and or distorted and unclean. If you apply too much, you risk possible issues of bloody tips. (dw too much abt it tho, its rare lol) The second thing you need to work on is learning your first chords. The first chords I recommend are- C major E minor G D

finger placement are the dots

OH YEAH I REMEMBER NOW

karissafrazier:

my uncle mike once showed me how to play but this was about when I was 8 years old

karissafrazier:

but i remember him giving me these tips @moe22

MoE22:

the third most important thing to work on is your transitions, Like how fast and smoothly you can transition your chords. Learn two and practice moving between them. E minor to G. Keep adding new transitions then you can work on learning a song. Most of the songs your looking to learn anyways are chord based but there is a common tune that all of us guitarists love to learn to start with. It's called "smoke on the water" look it up and try it for your self;) -sincerely MoE

mayathegamergrl:

thank u so much, i have been learning to transition between 4 different chords for a song i'd wanna play and im actually getting better at it, although i need to be quicker for the 3rd. But im still trying. And yes i've noticed to not put a little pressure when playing the chords cuz it ends up basically not even making the note's sound and the 2 weeks of me practicing guitar, my finger tips were fr killing me lol but soon after i gotten used to it and now its not happening anymore. but yeah im still focusing on one song . and tbh im pretty into slowed down versions of songs so i do search the slowed guitar version but ion think they have that version ig plus im not the best with fingering cuz my hands are just- not that talented lol but i'll try again once im finished with the song im practicing now. @maxton @Neon @limenm79 @moe22

ofc @mayathegamergrl you are very welcome. Remember to keep practicing and never give up on learning how to play. One thing you must keep in mind, is that when learning an instrument you must have good patience and keep your cool as it can be extremely frustrating at times. As you continue to practice, you will progress and your skill will increase gradually. Also when you feel pain on right pressure you can tell your playing right. As you play it takes about a week to gain the callus and playing tips. Anyways I really wish you to have a bright and successful future on playing guitar and in life in general:) I recommend looking up Marty Music on youtube, cuz he gives the best lessons on songs lol. Have an amazing day -sincerely MoE
