Read the excerpt below from Uncle Tom's Cabin and answer the question. "'Witness, eternal God!' said George, kneeling on the grave of his poor friend; 'oh, witness, that, from this hour, I will do what one man can to drive out this curse of slavery from my land!'" What ideas was Harriet Beecher Stowe sending to her reader with this line from her book?
@kacchan
i dont know this one sorry
The idea that Harriet Beecher Stowe was sending to her reader based on the information is that every person has a duty to do everything to eliminate slavery. From the story, it should be noted that George Shelby was unable to free his uncle from slavery before he died. On the grave of Tom, he vowed that he was going to free the Shelby slaves. He also said he was going to keep his promise. The word "what one man can" was used to emphasize that every person duty to do everything to eliminate slavery. I found this online
okay you can use that as help but i wouldn't copy that word for word cause that would be plagiarism
@kacchan we can not help this person answer there questions with a direct answer but we can give them hits and ways to the answer. I would look at that tho and then answer in your words and I would not copy and past anything. If you do use some of that make sure to post the link in your writing to source where you got the info so its not plagiarizing.
I know I was just trying to help out.
