please without direct answers !!! ,try explain the way how you solve it step by step

Krissy525:

You have to set the equation equal to zero, so \[x^{2}-14x+45\] and use the quadratic formula to solve

Krissy525:

The quadratic formula is \[-b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}}-4ac \div 2a\] the b in this case is 14, the a is 1, the c is 45 Plugging these in your equation would be \[-14 \pm \sqrt{14^{2}} - 4(1)(45) \div 2(1)\]

Krissy525:

the -4(1)(45) is supposed to be under the radical

Krissy525:

Hope that helps :)
