Beowulf summary | Britannica It deals with events of the early 6th century and was probably composed c. 700–750. It tells the story of the Scandinavian hero Beowulf, who gains fame as a young man by vanquishing the monster Grendel and Grendel's mother; later, as an aging king, he kills a dragon but dies soon after, honoured and lamented.

Beowulf is an Old English epic poem about a Scandinavian hero who fights monsters and a dragon. Beowulf comes to help Hrothgar, the king of the Danes, who is troubled by the attacks of Grendel, a ferocious creature. Beowulf kills Grendel and his mother, earning fame and gratitude. Later, as the king of the Geats, Beowulf faces a dragon that threatens his people. He slays the dragon, but dies from his wounds. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, Beowulf is a hero who goes to Denmark to kill monsters. So, for the first paragraph, we can say things of how he got to Denmark, or what he killed along the way. For the second paragraph, we could write, how he came to help Hrothgar to fight Grendel. He rips off his arm and kills him. Also, how Grendel's mother wanted revenge on Beowulf in a cave, where Beowulf kills her. In the third paragraph, we can say how many years later Beowulf becomes king of Geatland. Later on, a dragon awakens, and he later kills the dragon. Summarized and detailed credit goes to: https://www.enotes.com/topics/beowulf Does this help you at all @arizona ?
