Astrid1:

In what way is an object moving in a circle always accelerating? Its velocity toward the center is always increasing. Its momentum carries it forward. Its velocity toward the mass is always increasing.. Its velocity in a straight line is always increasing.

Astrid1:

I know that it's always accelerating because of the velocity towards the center but it's also because of the mass..

Astrid1:

Because Centripetal Force brings the object towards th center

Astrid1:

It also says in our textbook " The amount of centripetal force involved in circular motion depends on three things: the mass of the object, the speed of the object, and the distance of the object to the center."

poopoopeepee:

Velocity towards the mass isn't always increasing.

poopoopeepee:

The acceleration is centripetal i.e. velocity away from the mass is increasing
