1. Ophelia is Polonius' daughter and Laertes' sister. 2 & 3. As Laertes gets ready to return to France, he bids farewell to his sister Ophelia and cautions her against risking her honor by falling for Hamlet, who is moody and obligated to his country's needs. He advises her to guard her reputation, preserve her virginity, and avoid Hamlet and the "danger of desire." 4. Laertes is the son of Polonius and the brother of Ophelia 5.Polonius admonishes Laertes to keep his thoughts to himself, restrain himself from acting on rash desires, and treat people with familiarity but not with vulgarity. 6.Polonius believes that Hamlet has fallen into madness because of unrequited love 7.The king's advisor, Polonius, believes Hamlet's madness to be lovesickness.
