FunJaguar17:

Who can do 12th grade Mathematics for Data and Financial Literacy?

strugglinginSchool27:

depends on the question

Spectrum:

I'm in Geometry but I can try...

Spectrum:

Plus I know how to deal with money...

FunJaguar17:

A construction worker earns an average bi-weekly net pay of $1,764.00. Which compound inequality correctly shows the amount of money, t, the worker can spend if the monthly budget for food is between 10% and 20%? $176.40 ≤ t ≤ $352.80 $352.80 ≤ t ≤ $706.50 $382.20 ≤ t ≤ $764.40 $420.42 ≤ t ≤ $573.30

strugglinginSchool27:

$382.20 ≤ t ≤ $764.40

FunJaguar17:

why and how?

strugglinginSchool27:

im about to type it right now

FunJaguar17:

thx

How did you get that answer? Cause that is a direct answer.

You cannot just give a user the answer right off the bat, you have to walk them through solving the problem until you get the answer.

strugglinginSchool27:

ik my friend gave me the answer and hes explaining it to me now

im in school rn so ya

A wrong, indirect answer if I may add lol

FunJaguar17:

can you help?

Luigi0210:

The way I would go about it is by multiplying. You're allowed to play around with decimal places as long as you remember to undo it at the end. for example, you can change 10%, which is 0.10 to just 1 and multiply it by 1764. 1764* 1 = 1764 Now adjust the decimal place: \[\large 1764 ~-> 176.4\] Since you moved it from left to right In the final answer, you move it right as well.

Luigi0210:

That would be the lower inequality, for the upper just multiply it by 2 and move the decimal place again

Luigi0210:

so 1764*2=3528 Adjust the decimal place: 352.8 So the inequality would be something like this: \[\large 176.40 \le x\le 352.80\]

poopoopeepee:

except your answer is entirely wrong since it's biweekly lmao
