Given the biconditional statement: I will sleep in today if and only if it is a holiday. Part A: Determine the hypothesis p and conclusion q. (2 points) Part B: Write the given biconditional as two conditional statements. (2 points)
@toga For part A I believe it would be Hypothesis p: I will sleep in today. Conclusion q: It is a holiday.
To match part B I think it'd be “If it is a holiday, then I will sleep today.” "If I will sleep today, then it is a holiday."
Part A: You are correct! Hypothesis p is "I will sleep in today" and conclusion q is "it is a holiday". Part B: The given biconditional statement can be written as two conditional statements: "If I will sleep in today, then it is a holiday" and "If it is a holiday, then I will sleep in today.
Would my part B's work as well? Or does it need to be written like yours?
i forgot to add in* but with that in would they be alright?
Thank you toga ^^
