When someone gives me a compliment, do I say “thank you” or refuse it? If I refuse it, where did I learn that from?
It depends on what type of compliment, did the person say it in a nice way, a rude way or a bad way. You could have learned it from your parents, your friends or u seen it in the world and it rupped off on u.
You can technically say whatever you want.
Both responses actually fit well in a response to the compliment. Saying something such as "I'm not <whatever the general idea of the compliment was>" is as polite as simply saying "oh thank you" or otherwise. Both really have the same effect, it's just personal preference. As for where you learned it from, typically you learn it from parents, friends, colleagues, etc. Anybody who is around you enough to shape who you are as a person. That's why keeping rude people around you is a bad idea.
I mean you should say thank you unless it's something inappropriate. Otherwise in my opinion it would be rude not to say thanks back
It may be rude but there are cases when the complement is inappropriate or maybe you just don't think you deserve it in which you should make your opinion clear so they know where your coming from ^^
If the comment may be rude then ignore it or decline it but if its a nice and good comment then accept it or say thank you. so they don't think your rude:>
i'd js say thank u. but u do u
This question is strange. Are you just posting nonsense at this point? “If someone gives me a compliment; Do I say thank you, or refuse it?” Are you delusional, or just seeking answers on this? Take a moment to ask yourself. “If I got a compliment right now; what would I say?” Stupid little question.
say "thank u my kind sister/brother"
If it's genuine then a thank you is due
