Shadow:
The best tl;dr is that nobody knows how the market will move each day. For most people I would recommend passive, dollar cost averaging into an index fund or ETF.
The AI trading algorithms that I have seen are interesting but they can be expensive to run and you may not have the capital to ensure profit given the running costs. Quick, easy money sounds nice but it rarely happens in the stock market. AI is at best good guesswork which manages risk against potential upside, which it *can* do well but you are at the whims of this persons algorithm. It is likely better than picking individual stocks yourself, which many people lose money on.
So imo, if you're looking at investing in the stock market, I would recommend finding an index fund or ETF with a low expense ratio (under 0.15% generally, but sub 0.10 is ideal). There are even zero cost expense ratios at brokerage firms like Fidelity (FZROX stock ticker).
Shadow:
The index fund or ETF should track the total US market or the S&P500. These are quite diversified and historically see good returns over the years.
However, never invest money that you aren't willing to lose. And the name of the game is patience with passive investing.
(I am really skeptical of AI trading if you can't tell lol).

I say its not. but most of the time my option don't matter so
Manny300303199:
@shadow Index funds have no risk, correct?

Every form of investment carries risk. Index funds just have less risk due to their proven track record. AI investment is new technology that people are still watching to see. You could make good $$$, or it could go negative. Or, it's just average.

i am too. i have done about 16 hours total of research on it. It seems to be pretty good as long as you set the bot under certain parameters. im thinking about try a bot that is $70 a month and just start with $1000 not too much of an investment. if it dont work good i will not continue with it. Im thinking about possibly opening a $20,000 CD. Do you think that is a good idea Shadow?
Shadow:
CDs are definitely a more safer and risk adverse investment. You also lock it in at the higher interest rates we have right now. There is obviously less upside with that limited risk profile, but it's better than letting it sit in the bank. However, CDs are not a liquid investment as they'll be locked in for set periods, so it's something to think about.

hmm thanks for your advice
Shadow:
As for the AI bot, if you have done your research and are comfortable with how it works, then definitely go for it. It's better to try riskier investments out when you are younger as we can recover over time. Risky investments as you approach retirement though, not as good.

i have seen reviews online on many differnt bots most of them were good but as shadow mentioned it is programmed from a person. So you do have to rely that their program is good. But i looked at highly rated bots and a lot of them worked really good. Some of them even have the option to change the way they trade. i guess like the signals it receives

This really just depends on the person in general, if they know what they're doing and all. Take me as an example, i- i cant do any stock trading . My brain cant go that far. However many people have become successful in this. Always good to give things a try ((:

No AI stock trading ain't worth it. Because what if people use that for criminal stuff. We would have to put them in prison.
