Carbohydrates have chemical bonds that are a good source of energy for living things. A monosaccharide is a carbohydrate made by plants when energy from the sun combines water and carbon dioxide. How are the two other types of carbohydrates formed? Give examples of each type.
Well what is a carbohydrate? - Carbohydrates are biomolecules that are made up of carbon, and oxygen. There are three types of carbohydrates, such as; monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides. - Disaccharides are formed when releasing water. An example of this is called 'maltose' An example of polysaccharide is called 'glycogen'. Thus, this makes the two additional forms of carbohydrates, disaccharides, which are constituted when two monosaccharides are combined. When there are more than TWO combined, the result will be polysaccharide.
