How does the structure of fatty acids compare to the basic units found in other macromolecules? Describe one example.

Alexis1415:

Well first, What are fatty acids? - Fatty acids are a type of lipid, (one of the four MAJOR parts of macromolecules) - They also consist of two parts, Glycerol Backbone, and Fatty Acid Tails. A carbohydrate is the basic unit of a macromolecule. (simple sugar) But a fat lipid is a macromolecule because it is made up of more than one monomer. I hope this helps!
