What was the main reason behind the high level isolationism in the U.S. during the 1930's @Alexis1415 !! O Disillusionment with the United Nations O Wilsonian internationalists' lost hope in the League of Nations' ability to stop aggression Belief that U.S. succeeded when participating in WWI O Hoover's Individualism changed public opinion

Alexis1415:

Certainly, The main reason behind the isolationism was influenced by the aftermath of WWI. There was many devastating losses of lives in WWI, while also this was the time of the Nye Committee, this led to motive of entering such war. Aggressive actions of governments overseas led the desire to avoid entanglement in foreign conflicts, Aka led to the Neutrality Acts in the 1930's. This made it to where the U.S. could stay out of international disputes.
