Reasons why you think that?

kristen000021:

Countries that have legalized or decriminalized commercial sex often experience a surge in human trafficking, pimping, and other related crimes.

sllo:

No, bc no

ykbatman:

whats prostitution?

rahh:

I hope not that's js nasty and a lot more sex trafficking and stuff like that would happen all bc lgalazing it.

ykbatman:

no it should never be legalized

ykbatman:

if it was

ykbatman:

we would all be cooked

Autumnx:

It depends really, see for some people that's how they earn money but at the same time you shouldn't be that. I guess if that's how you want to use your body you should be allowed to as your also getting paid for it but I feel like some people would rape and give them money just to get away with it so honestly Idk

euphoriiic:

why is this a question

Keyla:

Of course not. There's other ways to make money. This is unsafe and really dangerous.

notmeta:

restricted maybe but I think it should be legal

ARWolf1:

I think if done right with proper regulations, yes. I mean what do you think dating sites basically do, just without the money? And regarding the trafficking situation, we could keep strict health regulation and even have each prostitute run their DNA through missing person's. STD's could be better regulated as well with monthly checks that are required. We could also implement strict hygiene rules as well. We'd set a proper wage for those who want to work in that line and also protect them from abuse. But I don't think that it should be legalized without the proper care.

adrianluvvsyouu2:

There are pros and cons. On one hand, you can argue that there is no victim in prostitution, and therefore it should not be a crime. However legalization of prostitution can lead to increased transmission of STIs, increased human trafficking, and more violent sexual crime. In many places where it is illegal, it is still tolerated 'de facto'. You can also argue that it would lead to less rape and sexual assaults as many who are seeking sex have a way to get that without anyone being harmed. This is a purely legal standpoint. There are also a lot of religious and moral arguments involved that can complicate this more.. so its not so black and white.
