what's one piece of art that has changed the way you interpreted the world of art?

theydontknowally:

I think it was when I first saw that you can literally put the most random pieces of junk or whatever together just to make a certain and unique form of art.

I agree

mine would probably be- The Swing (Fragonard) because the woman has two lovers that she is playing. But they both don't know it. I just think its cool that art could have such a deeper meaning.

that's why I got into it. I really only do things based on what it is about, that's how I was taught and jus the mindset I have.

that's the way I was taught too

avaskindacewl:

mine is probably "Hellelil and Hildebrand, The Meeting on the Turret Stairs." it is about a princess and her bodyguard who were madly in love, but as her father didn't approve of him, he killed her 6 brothers and father so they could be together. She insisted he didn't kill her last brother, who then went on to kill him. The princess died of heartbreak shortly after. It is such a tragic yet sickeningly sweet love story, it completely changed my way of storytelling through art.

dang

This beat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8bmVHHUXiU And no, I'm not joking, this piece of simple beat actually changed how I see musical "art".

girlypop:
