How do you lucid dream ?

ShadowKid3:

Lucid dreaming is a state of sleep where you are aware of being asleep and can sometimes control whats going on inside the dream. Recommendations for lucid dreaming are staying away from anything that can show your face/body as it’s said by lucid dreamers the dream takes a turn at that point, asking the time should also be avoided as it sometimes also makes a lucid dream go dark, and don’t interact with people outside of the way you normally would as these dreams tend to be vivid or mistaken as a memory. Lucid dreaming isn’t something you can force yourself consistently as far as im aware. Look towards someone familiar with the process and could give you steps towards being able to do it.

I actually have experienced lucid nightmares on multiple occasions, a method to being able to wake yourself up fast is close your eyes. Closing your eyes for a long period of time will snap yourself away from the dream and wake you up.

That happens to me quite often, where I'll be aware of my surroundings but it feels like I can't move or do anything, like I still have to wake myself up.

I don’t think that’s lucid dreaming persay, I think that’s just sleep paralysis.

scarlettmiris:

There are a few methods, they just don't work for everyone. One is the wake back to bed method, meditation and visualizing etc.

I like to think dreams have meaning , that's why im interested in trying this out . I have books that say stuff about what you see in dreams and what they mean and i've heard even sometimes dreams come true which is cool

ShadowKid3:

Also, trying to lucid dream too often has had reported cases of developing insomnia. Another pro tip to lucid dreaming is do NOT think about anything you find remotely scary or manifesting things you find unpleasant as they will lead to your dream going scary.

I think some dreams have meaning. Depending on what you dream about can symbolize events or feelings in your life.
